This early pitcher stands 8" tall and commemorates the battle between the USS Constitution and the English ship HMS Java ...at that time Commodore Bainbridge was commanding the USS Constitution....Gray's Pottery made the picher and condition is good ...no cracks...no chips....great graphics....only apology is the to-be-expected crazing...and a bit of very light discoloration on the inside bottom. an Ebayer emailed me the following info...The pattern number and backstamp indicate that this was produced in 1931
