All right all you mini performance nuts out tâe¦ this one is for you! Iâe(tm)ve had so many requests for a commission slot this year that I finally decided to put just one up for grabs. I have not accepted commissions for more than 3 years, and have no intentions of opening my books any time in the next couple years while Iâe(tm)m in school. Other than the occasional already finished piece I no longer need for my own show string, this is the only item you will find for sale from me for the foreseeable future. The winning bidder will receive for the winning bid, a custom tack set in their choice of style and scale OR a custom diorama of their design.Yep this means SM (or god forbid even Micro Miniâe¦ EEK!) to TR scale. English, western, harness or whatever you can think up. Iâe(tm)ve included photos of several examples of my past work for ideas, but basically I am open to whatever you want, whether Iâe(tm)ve tried it before or not. First, let me define ONE set, lol ;). One set is too include one saddle and bridle with the appropriate accessories such as boots, martingales, breast collars, etc. I am also open to any style of harness, however only for ONE horse, not a team or multi hitch. T will be no duplicates of pieces such as an extra bridle to fit another horse, or an extra girth to fit multiple horses. Now t are a number of things I havenâe(tm)t tried before and would love an excuse to work on: parade, Peruvian, Spanish, collared harnesses, etc. The winning bidder will be responsible for a large portion of the research to find examples for me to work from, so that I am sure it is exactly what you want, but I will also do a bit on my own additionally. The winning bidder will also be emailed a number of photos before mailing the completed product to be sure it meets with approval. A little about my requirements: I do not under any circumstances work using measurements. Particularly in mini scales, the measurements must be so exacting that I have found it just doesnâe(tm)t work for me. Thus, I require that I have the main mold to fit in hand. If I happen to have one myself, youâe(tm)re all set. Otherwise the horse must be sent to me for the entire creating process. I will promise the set by January 1 st 2009 , or 5 months after I receive the horse, whichever is later. I know many of you are thinking OUCHâe¦ 5 months!?! But for anyone who had a commission slot with me in the past, you know that I have a pretty busy, hectic and semi-unreliable schedule. 5 months is pretty darn good for me. Also, if I get on a streak, it could be done earlier. NO PROMISES! My goal is to work on it a little bit frequently, rather than burning myself out trying to finish all at once. So please, I beg of you winning bidderâe¦ donâe(tm)t email me every other week asking if youâe(tm)ll have it for this show or that one. It only makes it harder and more stressful for me to finish. Please be prepared for me to have your horse for that entire 5 months. Extra trips to the PO for your horse to attend one show or another just are not possible with my schedule. Next, a lot of people ask about adjustable vs non adjustable. For CL and TR scale, any set will absolutely be adjustable, your choice of slip or tongue buckles. For minis, I will in this one instance give you a choice. Micro Miniâe(tm)s sorry, non adjustable only, but SM and LB scale I will do adjustable or non adjustable at the winnerâe(tm)s discretion. Personally, I MUCH prefer my style of non adjustable sets. They are easy on and easy off for quick tack changes during a show and the tack lasts much longer under the normal wear and tear of performance showing. All SM scale sets shown are done in non adjustable style, w the set is designed to be slipped on and held in place with a few strategic dots of sticky wax. I have had excellent results with this style and my record tacking up a LB in a harness from halter class to hitched and posed to show is 4 minutes flat.
