We are pleased to offer this 67-piece silverplated flatware service for 8 in the delicate Lady Hamilton pattern by Community Plate, predecessor to Oneida Silversmiths. Introduced in 1932, this pattern is classified as "collectible" by Tere Hagan in Silverplated Flatware, Revised Fourth Edition. The winning bidder will receive the following: eight 8 1/2-inch hollow handle grille or viande knives with stainless steel blades, eight 9 5/8-inch hollow handle dinner knives with stainless steel blades, eight 7 1/2-inch grille or viande forks, eight 7 3/4-inch dinner forks, eight 7 3/8-inch tablespoons or oval soup spoons, eight 6 1/4-inch salad or dessert forks, sixteen 6 1/8-inch teaspoons, one 8 1/2-inch meat serving fork (not pictured), one 7-inch master butter knife, and one 6-inch sugar spoon. That's 8 7-piece place settings, plus extra teaspoons and serving pieces! Viande knife blades are marked "Stainless" and dinner knife blades are marked "Community Stainless." All other pieces are marked "Community Plate" or "Community." Upon close inspection, we note pits in the bowls of two of the teaspoons, a slightly discolored blade on one of the viande knives, some pitting and stubborn tarnish on the handle of one of the viande knives, and a bit of plate loss and scratching toward the ends of the dinner fork tines. All pieces are otherwise in good to very good condition, with no other plate loss or damage and a beautiful patina. Lovely! Please ask questions before bidding and be sure to see our listing for that matching individual butter knives or spreaders. We're always happy to combine items for shipment to save you money.
