Stunning Community Silver Tea Set (Community Silver changed it's name to Onieda in 1935), believe it was established in 1877. The pattern is Ascot- this is an old English Sheffield Pattern from the early 1800's and is one of the most sought after. Each item is hall marked Community-Ascot-Sheffield Design-Reproduction By Community , except the tray. The tray pattern does exactly match the tea set. Tea set is highly detailed, ornate rims with a shell and scroll motif with a rose on the handles. Have seen a couple of these sets on e-bay over the last year, one set the tray doesn 't match and is being sold by a dealer and the other had a Buy Now price of $595.00. This set was bought at Marshall Fields in Chicago before WWII. (Great Aunt and Uncle bought set.) Set should have a professional cleaning, but as is it still shines up like a mirror, in fact I had a heck of a time taking the pictures, set is so shinny you can see a reflection of me taking the pictures in a couple of the pieces, please excuse my picture taking I am not the best at it, t looks like a film in some of the pieces but t is no film, just my bad picture taking and the glare of the sun and camera. Set includes...(sizes are as accurate as I can get them. Coffee Pot . 8.5" tall 10" from spout to handle Tea Pot 6.5" tall and 10.5" from spout to handle Lidded
