Never Used Enamel Compact

This is a cool compact from the Art Deco era, circa 1930s. It has a patent number at the bottom of the powder compartment that corresponds to the year 1935. It is bright red with black enamel. Push the black sides in and the top pops open. The cover of the powder compartment has a Colgate University seal--perhaps this was a party favor or souvenir. Original never used powder puff. Shiny metal "mirror". Never used cake of rouge. The enamel is in excellent condition, with one very, very small ding on the right side. 2 3/4" by 2 1/8"

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (until rate increase on 5/14/07) : This item can be shipped in a bubble envelope via First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation (for package tracking) for $2.50. However, Priority mail is usually faster and enables thicker padding for the item. Priority Mail under 1 ½ pounds is $4.05. Delivery confirmation is included if payment is made with Paypal...other forms of payment, add $.50 for Delivery Confirmation. Larger and heavier items will of course cost more to ship and I will contact the winning bidder after the auction. I'm always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases at no extra cost whenever possible (as long as the weight of the package is about the same).

INSURANCE : Full insurance coverage is optional but recommended. USPS charges $1.35 for $50 coverage, $2.30 for $100 and $1.05 for each additional $100 coverage. Items not insured are shipped at the buyer's risk. Insured or not, we are not responsible for packages once the USPS has accepted them.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS : Shipping via Global Priority Mail, no insurance available. Please inquire for availability, terms and rates BEFORE YOU BID. We cannot mail to destinations that do not accept GPM, Italy for examply. We are absolutely not responsible for packages once the US Postal Service have accepted them.

PAYMENT with PayPal, money order or cashiers checks ships with our next mail run (We typically mail twice a week). Payment by personal check: please allow 10 working days for check to clear before shipping .

RETURNS: Most of the items I list are vintage/antique and have been used and enjoyed and will show normal signs of wear. No item is perfect or mint condition unless described as such. I take great care to assure that items are accurately described and pictured. Returns are accepted only in the very unlikely event that an item is misrepresented--otherwise, all sales are final.
