Included in this auction is: 1) 1 kimono (furisode) furisode is 60.5" long, 48" across and 36.5" long sleeves 2) 1 nagajuban (which goes under the kimono) 3) 1 obi 4) 1 obi tie 5) 1 kimono donning kit 6) 1 kimono wearing/donning instruction manual Up for auction is a beautiful vintage kimono (these have long sleeves so it would be called a furisode) from the early 1900s. This furisode is in extremely good condition considering its age, with no rips or tears. It features large butterflies (green with gold accented outlines) strategically placed with plum blossoms behind them, all on a red background (picture 1-3). The red background is not a plain red, it looks as if it is woven like a wicker basket that is in a slightly darker red. Also included in this auction is a kimono-donning kit, with all the necessary add-ons such as the elastic band that holds the kimono up, the pre-obi band that goes around the waist, and many oher hard-to-describe items that are necessary to wear the kimono properly (picture 5). A "nagajuban" is also included in the auction, which goes under the kimono. It is pink, with a white collar, and has butterflies on it. (not pictured, but the instructions on wearing it is in the kimono instruction book). A layered obi set is also included in this auction, and was personally chosen by me to match the furisode.
