We are auctioning an EXTREMELY RARE - COMPLETE SET of 1847 ROGERS BROS. Silver Flatware in the Much Sought After COLUMBIA pattern. This EXQUISITE PATTERN was designed for the Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1893. The nations of the world joined with America to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of America. This beautiful pattern features a stylized dolphin on the handles with a dragon-like tongue with the tail wraping around the handles. This Rare COMPLETE SET includes the following: 8 - Extremely Rare Hollow Handle Dinner Forks, 8 - Rare Hollow Handle Dinner Knives, 8 - 7 1/2" Long Forks for Salads, 8 - Oval Serving Spoons, 8 - Teaspoons and a COMPLETE COMPLIMENT of SERVING PIECES including: 1 - 9" Berry Spoon, 2 - 8 1/4" Oval Serving Spoons, 1 - 7 5/8" Pastry Serving Fork, 1 - 7 1/4" Gravy Ladle, 1 - 7 1/2" Twisted Master Butter Spreader & 1 - 5 3/4" Ornate Sugar Shell. The Condition of the Entire Set is Excellent. T is NO plate wear, ferrel wear, heel marks or pitting.
