Complete Set of TWELVE Mettlach Villeroy & Bach Russian Fairy Tales Lidded Steins and Cabinet . This collection was produced in a Limited Edition of just 12,500 worldwide . Orginal Boxes and Certificate of Authenticity Oct 1, 1989 . Elegant Wooden Display Cabinet . Boris Zvorykin's world-famous Russian Fairy Tales Art has been recreated on genuine Mettlach Steins to commemorative Limited Edition honoring the 1,000 year anniversary of the Mettlach Tower w Mettlach steins are made. Some of the most revered works of Russian folklore art comes to life thru Villeroy & Boch's centuries old tradition of stoneware handcraftsmanship. The enchanting colors set against a background of creamy stoneware and hand applied gold on the rim above the base. The originals of the scenes shown on the Mettlach steins are housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Each stein is certified authentic with the famous Mettlach Tower mark on the base. The authenticity of the steins are emphasized by the sculpted lid and thumbpiece in fine pewter. Each stein stands 6 1/4" tall to top of pewter finial. The cabinet measures 25 1/4" tall, 17 3/4" wide and 3 1/4" deep.
