ORIGINAL WWII US M1 HELMET LINER RARE INLAND MANUFACTURE EARLY WAR VERSION COMPLETE WITH ALL WWII COMPONENTS ***NO RESERVE!!!*** This Auction is for an ORIGINAL World War Two Helmet Liner for the US M1 Helmet. This is a RARE INLAND Manufactured Liner that is complete with Leather Chinstrap, Leather Sweatband and Non-Adjustable Nape Strap. This is the EARLY War Version with a mixture of Unpainted and Light OD Green Painted "A" Rivets and Unpainted Female Nape Strap Snaps. The Webbing is KHAKI and shows age, wear and use. There is some light scattered staining to the webbing as well as a few worn places that can barely be seen behind the sweatband and nape. The Nape Strap is the Early War Style with a number corresponding to size and unpainted male snaps. The leather sweatband has khaki webbing as well. The leather is in good to very good condition within moderate age, wear and drying, but the webbing shows considerable wear, age and use. The area around the buckle is well worn and stressed. This is the early war style of sweatband with OD Green Buckle and OD "Alligator" Clips that hold it in. The Leather Chinstrap is the MID War Style with "United Carr" Marked Rivets and an Anodized or "Blackened" Brass Buckle. The leather chinstrap shows wear to the finish of rivets and buckle.
