Comprising: 1) Autographed Book titled: `Pinto Ben and Other Stories` by William S. Hart and Mary Hart. Inscribed on first page: `For/R. Lambdin/Whose splendid drawings/have added so much/to the success of this/little book./From/[signed] William S. Hart/Los Angeles Calif./May 16-1919.` The volume is a brief history on Hart`s early years in the Dakota Territory and his beginnings in the Western film business. It also includes Hart`s poetic tribute to his pinto pony `Ben` and his sister Mary`s story `The Savage`. Brown leather covers with embossed gold-leaf title. 2) Original copy of `The Little Movie Mirror Books` featuring a color portrait of Hart on cover and featuring his story and comments on the film industry and other anecdotal stories. Two scarce items directly related to one of America`s greatest Western film pioneers. 300 - 350
