Comprising: 1) State of Wyoming, Johnson County sworn complaint for a certain Ewald Mroz, on September 2, 1894 did knowingly and feloniously steal and carry away from my camp near the hot springs in said county, one buckskin horse branded M on left hip, also one bridle, saddle and saddle blanket and six-shooter, belt scabbard and knife. 2) Typed wanted notice for two fugitives; Kid Wallace and Antone Woode. Notice gives descriptions of both individuals and included photographs of each man. Typed at bottom: `Arrest and wire/C.P. Hoyt, Warden/Canon City, Colo. 3) A unique holographic letter from a U.S, 10th Cavalry officer writing his bank and asking for extra time on paying back a loan due to the fact the Apaches attacked his payroll train, captured the money and tortured the guards by placing red hot coins on their privates. Dated November 25, 1889. A unique and colorful frontier letter. Sold with photostatic copies of the story of the famous `Wham Paymaster Robbery` which appears to be the same event written about in the letter. A Sergeant Benjamin Brown received the Medal of Honor for his efforts in defending the payroll against the Indians. 4) Two letterheads from the Opera House Club Room and Saloon, Evanston, Wyoming and the E.B. Hill Hotel and Store in Red Rock, Montana, Territory. 5) A New Mexico, Dona Ana county arrest warrant for a Scott Stewart, signed by Deputy E.A. Brown for Pat Garrett, Sheriff. Dated November 19th, 1898. With holographic statement by M. Valdez. 6) Printed reward notice for $100 from Fort Scott, Kansas, for a woman wanted for robbery of rings and watch from a gentleman. Issued by C.L. Roodhouse, Sheriff. 7) Typed letter on Department of Justice letterhead announcing the transfer female prisoner to El Paso Police Department. Signed by J.E. Hoover, Acting Director, later of FBI fame. Dated May 22, 1924. 700 - 1000
