This Strand volume, July to December, 1898, is loaded with the cream of Victorian detective fiction writers. For openers, six stories from A.C. Doyle, later to be collected as ROUND THE FIRE STORIES. Speculation is that many of these plots could easily have been Sherlock Holmes adventures. From L.T. Meade are four chapters from THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE SEVEN KINGS, from Grant Allan, six stories from MISS CAYLEY'S ADVENTURES and from H.G. Wells, a famous tale, THE STOLEN BODY. The binding is in good+ condition, with the leather spine standing up okay and the corner tips showing wear. Spine head and tail worn but not ripped. Inside, condition is very good, with little dirt, marks or gigs like lost pages, wrting, dog-ears, etc. Best news, this heavy tome is on this side of the Atlantic and can ship to you for $4 Media Mail.
