This is a pretty neat little shell! It sat on a shelf that also held a mantle clock in my childhood home in the 1940's and 50's and watched over me and my family as I grew. It got me through the Second World War, Korea Conflict, Viet Nam War and more than a couple of circuses! It was something that was always t Now it is time for me to pass it on to someone else and let them benifit from its unique powers! (I have no idea what that means except I hate to see all this space sit unused and empty so I will try to fill it with words). I am not sure who in the family first bought the shell. It just was always t, sitting on that little shelf. It has a chain attached to three points on the shell but I don't remember it ever being hung, not that it should make any difference. It is not real big. It measures about 7 inches tip to tip, and at the widest point across, about 4 inches. I cannot discribe the color, but the pictures are pretty true to the correct color of the shell.I have become quite attached to the silly little shell over the past 66 years that I have been around it, and it has been in the family for at least 100 years. Like I said, I have no idea who brought it to our home or anything else about its history.
