You are bidding on a:Air France/British Airways CONCORDE Genuine Part: Rear Bumper Tire Make, Model: Kleber Aviation 74466 A, 320 x 120 - 4.5 Diameter: 12"This rear bumper tire comes from the Air France Concorde. The tail bumper gear was intended to prevent damage to the fuselage and engine nacelles should the aircraft suffer too high a rotation angle during take off and landing.Although these tires rarely made contact with the ground, they were changed out regularly so the tires that came off the aircraft often had no wear marks on them.This particular tire was acquired from the Estate of Peter Smith, former Marketing Manager for Passenger Tires.
