Up for auction are four old original photos from the Conestoga Traction Company. The first photo is of CT Co. car #65 and line car #133 on Brown’s Siding at Brownstown, PA on 12/28/40. The second photo is of CT Co. car #69 on the trestle crossing the Conestoga Creek near Talmage, PA. The third photo is of CT Co. car #69 at the small flagstop station at Eden, PA. The fourth photo is of a CT Co. car coming into the station at Mechanicsburg Junction, PA. They measure between 2 3/4” x 4 1/2” to 3 3/8” x 5 1/4” and are in excellent condition, with the second photo having a tiny 1/2" border tear near the top of the photo. The Conestoga Traction was a Pennsylvania trolley / interurban / traction line in existence from 1899 to 1945, was 164 miles in length at its peak, and served Crystal Springs Park, Rocky Springs Park, and Chickie’s Park. It also served the towns of Lancaster, Gap, Mt. Joy, Coatesville, Strasburg, Quarryville, Pequea, Columbia, Marietta, Elizabethtown, Manheim, Lititz, Ephrata, Adamstown, Terre Hill, Salunga, Rheems, Parkesburg, Lampeter, Groffdale, Reamstown, Martinsville, Neffsville, Mechanicsburg, New Holland, Vintage, Leaman Place, Maple Grove, Rocky Springs, Eden, Millersville, Leola, Talmage, PA and many others.
