I cannot describe the content of the book appropriately as it is truly a wonderful and comprehensive collection of unique Confederate material. The best I can do is to give you a small sampling of its wonderful content to serve as examples of the material contained in it. Beauregard’s report on the Bombardment of Fort Sumter; General Johnston’s Report on the Battle of Manassas; the description by the Commander of New Orleans, General Lowell, on The Fall of New Orleans; General Jackson’s account of Operations in the Shenandoah Valley; General Morgan’s account of his raids; General Braxton Bragg’s account of the Stone’s River Campaign; the Siege of Vicksburg by General Stevenson; the accounts of Robert E. THIS BOOK IS IN NEAR FINE CONDITION! This wonderful book is excellent condition overall. The exterior is clean with no rubbing and only a hint of edge wear. The embossed lettering remains bright and vivid. The interior is clean and the book has no writing, smudging of foxing in it. It is loaded with wonderful illustrations and photos. The binding is solid throughout the book; it has no looseness or lean. Both hinges are fine. The book comes in the original dust jacket which has some light edge wear only. This is a large book measuring 15 inches by 11 ½ inches by 1 3/8 inches and will require extra postage, but I only charge actual postage rates.
