This is a very unusual item and I am hesitant to part with it. This would have been placed on the casket of a Confederate Rebel when they passed away. It is a commemorative item. The cast iron piece is marked 'the Confederate States of America 22 February 1862 Deo Vindice'. Don't fret this one was never placed on a casket. Genre: Unusual items / Americana collectibles.
