THE CONFESSIONS OF NAT TURNER by WILLIAM STYRON, SIGNED FIRST EDITION. This is the true first edition, first printing. SIGNED on the author's bookplate attached directly to the half title page. The book is in very good+ condition as is the dj which is protected by a mylar cover and has the price intact on the inner flap. Stated First Printing, published in 1967 t is some minor wear at the bottom of the dj spine and on the edges, otherwise a really beautiful copy of this work. A beautiful copy of William Styron's seminal work entitled, The Confessions of Nat Turner. This is the author's fourth novel and recipient of the Puliter Prize for fiction in 1968. This highly controversial novel has been deemed as Styron's best work, with subject matter of African Americans and Nat Turners supposed views of rape.
