I am selling my prized 1961 vintage CONN DIRECTOR COPPER BELL "Shooting Stars" engraved trumpet. This trumpet is 100% complete and features a solid copper bell, lacquered finish w/ nickel silver trim and the elaborate fancy shooting stars engraving on the bell flare. The beautiful original lacquer finish is approx. 95% intact (wow!) showing some little wear spots and small scratches throughout but still looking brilliant and shiny overall as you can see. This trumpet was made right here in the U.S.A. during the peak of quality at the C.G. Conn factory. These vintage Conns built with copper bells are definitely something special. One of the best things about this trumpet is that it is in very nice all-original condition!! This horn is in great playing condition and has the fancy shooting stars engraving pattern on the bell flare. It's been checked over and play tested and passes with flying colors. Bell is engraved "CONN USA" with the shooting stars and 3 marching musicians and the receiver is engraved "DIRECTOR". The Conn Director has a brilliant tone and is very freeblowing and easy to play on. This trumpet has very quick valves and smooth slides. (Valves and slides have just been lubricated for you). Valve plating is all intact. This trumpet is complete and fully functioning and plays great. There are some little dents / dings in the horn, but nothing major at all that would hurt the playability. This trumpet is ready to play and be enjoyed. It is 100% complete with all it's original parts. Serial # on this horn is 900XXX indicating it was built in 1961. Looks great for a horn celebrating it's milestone 50th birthday! Included with this trumpet is a nice later model hardshell CONN case, which is in great shape and very sturdy. The case has good working latches, mouthpiece slot, accessory area and the CONN emblem plate on the exterior. This original case provides great protection for the horn. You also get a mouthpiece and marching music lyre. Everything you need to get playing this wonderful trumpet. Conn is a trusted brand name for quality musical instruments. This would be a wonderful complete trumpet outfit for an advanced trumpet player or Conn collector / enthusiast. If interested in this beauty please make an offer. This is one of the nicest copper-belled Shooting Stars Directors I've owned, and it will be a joy to have in your collection and play. Thanks for looking. Please pay by Paypal only.
