4" diameter genuine Irish Connemara Marble Ashtray, by Gerard. No two alike, new, with green felt on the base to prevent scratching the surfaces beneath. A superb gift, even if you are not Irish, because this marble is extraordinary in its beauty! No picture can ever do it justice. Hand Carved, this marble is quarried in County Galway, in the 12 Bens, a mountain region of the Connemara. The marble is MILLIONS of years old.....giving a whole new meaning to its being 'as old as the hills'! [A feeble attempt at humor]. Remember, part of the unique qualities of this marble is that no two can ever be identical, tfore variations will occur in the color and 'marbling', meaning the picture is only a typical example of the size and shape, and not to be taken as the EXACT one you will get.
