Here is a Consolidated Glass Company “MERMAID” French crystal bowl. The outside has an acid-etched 'frosted’ background. It measures about 9 ¼" in diameter from rim to rim and stands about 2 1/4” high. Introduced by the Consolidated Glass Company in the mid-1930s and shown in “Phoenix & Consolidated Art Glass 1926-1980”, by distinguished author Jack Wilson, Antique Publications, Marietta , OH , 1989, Illustrated in Photos #285, 286 & 290 on p78. Our photos were taken in daylight to take advantage of natural lighting so pardon reflections and/or glare. This "MERMAID" bowl is much more beautiful than our photos show. It is not 'new' of course and such an expectation is not possible on 70+ year old collectibles even if never used. It is in good-to-excellent condition. Please note that the inside bottom surface has a few utensil marks indicating that it was used at least once before becoming a display piece. Please note that there are 2 small ‘chips’ just inside-the-rim of the bowl as well as some air bubbles. Weight unpacked is a tad more than 2 lbs. Shipping insurance is essential for antiques and collectibles. We will ship this "MERMAID" bowl using USPS Priority Mail Services. We charge actual shipping costs and a handling cost which includes the cost of your insurance coverage. These costs will be the amount that we pay USPS to
