This badge if from Yolo County, California, which according to a google search is next to county that Sacramento, California is located. Wish I could tell you more of the history of this badge, Got it in a box of items at a collectible and gun auction in Cinncinati, Ohio. Had a set of hand restraints, and spurs, and Gold scales in box. Neat old looking item. pain is very thin and missing in most letters. Pin on back is good, Some peeling of the tin or chrome plating on badge, thanks for looking Badge is marked Constable, with a cross at bottom of badge

I meant to say paint in the letters in thin or missing completely. The chrome or tin plating of the badge is peeling on the back, The badge is a plated item and not silver, so t is no hallmark on the badge, I assume from one question that if it had a hallmark it would indicate a silver item, this is not a silver badge, Also am trying to get a better photo to replace the ones, thanks for looking
