STUNNING CONTINENTAL SIDEBOARD WITH FINE ONYX TOP AND CARVED WALNUT DESIGNS Allston Antiques takes the distinct pleasure in offering this fine continental sideboard from either the late 19th or early 20th century. This sideboard features a breathtaking onyx top which is shaped finely with beautiful color and superb quality overall. The onyx was repaired at one point in its life but this has not taken away from its overall stunning allure. Four walnut cabinet doors are flanked on either side by acanthus carved and fluted columns. This sideboard features a very strong veneer of either a fine sycamore or satinwood, excellently bookmatched and of the finest grain orientation. The top molded edge bares fabulous carving work and this piece is raised on 6 finely turned trumpet legs. This piece has a real functional interior with three central long drawers and open cabinet space to either side. This sideboard measures 84" long x 17" wide x 56" in height atop the onyx top. If an item has a notable flaw that is so minor that it does it require a full restoration we will do our very best to bring this to your attention.
