CONVENT DRESSED ANTIQUE COMPOSITION NUN DOLL "SISTER OF ST. BASIL THE GREAT, UNIONTOWN PA" a beautiful reminder of days gone by This lovely 14" composition antique nun is a wonderful reminder of those days gone by. This lovely nun doll was dressed by the Sisters of St. Basil the Great from Uniontown PA. The doll is wearing the traditional black pleated habit with black full length underslip, white undergarment, one piece face/collar, fore head band, white stiff under veil, black long over veil. The doll's waist is cinched with a black webbed cinture. The folds on the habit and wimple represent their vows of povery, chastity and obedience, her rosary is draped at her side and she wears the crucifix around her neck. She also has on black leggings and black shoes. T is some slight age dust on the habit. The doll itself is composition doll from the 1940's or early 1950's. She has beautiful blue tin eyes that are clear and in perfect working order. All the eyelashes are intact. The doll's face does have some crazing due to age. I did not notice any other problems, cracks, splits or repain. She really is a beautiful doll. *Please see photos for details*.
