THE 1876 CENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE CUP with GEORGE WASHINGTON This has to be a rare Centennial porcelain cup with George Washington's portrait and dated 1876, manufactured by W. T. Copeland & Sons, for J. M. Shaw & Co., New York. Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. There is a little wear on the face of the portrait. It measures approx. 2 1/2" tall, 3" across. Pictured on the front is a portrait of the first president with an eagle standing above him and two American flags beside him. In the back is gilt lettering, " A Memorial of The Centennial,1876.
