ESTATE OF OLD NEW ENGLAND HOME W T Copeland & Sons Spode - Porcelain / Pottery China SPODE POTTERY OVAL SERVING BOWL WITH UNDER PLATE (PLATE IS CRACKED) BOWL IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. ALHAMBRA Pattern in Cream and Brown Transferware c.1888 (authenticated by the Copeland Spode Museum at Stoke-On-Trent England) SIZE: LENGTH = 9 3/4" WIDEST POINT = 7 3/4" DEEP = 2" UNDER PLATE MEASURES - 11 1/8" X 8 7/8" Under plate is cracked and taped but it belongs with this bowl. I HAVE NOT TRIED TO CLEAN THESE. 126 years old, these are in amazing condition. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR DETAILS ON DATES!! I was in contact with the Copeland Spode Museum they called this BROWN Transferware Alhambra Pattern, RARE. I found very few of the Alhambra Pattern in my research. I wrote to the Copeland Spode Museum in England they explained that this was created in 1888 from the embossed lettering under the glaze. Embossed is O with 82 under the O. The O means it was made OCTOBER of 1882. Also embossed is Copeland in an arch with a B under it. (this arch was used 1867 - 1890) The museum also connected me to the Stoke On Trent Government Archives. When I heard back they asked me to please send additional pictures of the bottom marks and the pattern itself because they needed it for there Database This pattern is hard to come by and Rare.
