Own A Piece Of Americana Copper Peanut Vending Machine Up for bid is a truly unique piece for the discerning collector. These were used by street vendors at the turn of the century to vend to the public. I put this under salesman's sample because the vendors would actually give free samples from the machine. The machine was used for producing roasted peanuts and has the original steam whistle which let the crowds and the vendor know when the peanuts were ready. The construction is of copper and glass. Due to its age t are a few marks that could be buffed out to return this item to its original beauty. It is in excellent condition with no major dents or missing or cracked glass. T is a small piece that looks to be missing from one of the handles but is is barely noticeable. During our research the unit appears to have been manufactured from Elisinghort Manufacturing in Buffalo, NY however t is not a makers mark. The following link (scroll to bottom) has one almost identical for sale. /uniqueantiques.html Please bid accordingly as this is one of the last original peanut vending machines in existance. Feel free to ask any questions.
