Rarely Seen Burnt Victorian Orange Ballroom Couple Figurals By Cordey~ Gorgeous & Superbly Classical Figurals at 14 inches tall in fine condition done in Cordey's most spectacular sample color of Burnt Victorian Orange. The color mix for this pair was stopped due to Boleslaw Cybis choosing to make his figures and wares in pastels which were easier for the handfull of artists he employed to mix and took less production time, tfore making this this color inpaticular being one of the rarest seen and or used. Both of the spectacular figures have an aboundance of porcelain lace adorned to their ballroom attire especially the beautiful lady and I must say the ruffles and tiers of lace are quite pretty and catching to the eye. This porcelain lace is very similar to Dresden lace which is actually called Papka by Cordey. T is much hand painted artistry taken to these figures as well with gorgeous swirled patterns hand done to the design of the clothing and I find this to be a very unique feature with this pair and quite lovely and complimnets the coloring beautifully making the couple all the more apppealing to the on looker. This figural was bought at auction from the Cordey China Company Factory in Trenton New Jersey which is still open for tours at this present day. This is a wonderful find for any Cordey collector and again this set is a very rarely seen, I have over 100 Cordey in my collection and my parents have just under 400 so I shall say I have seen my fair share.
