For sale is my latest Banger Racing conversion. The car started life as a very playworn Corgi Mercedes-Benz 190 E. The car was stripped down to its various pieces. The shell was cut around the front wings and rear light units and the whole thing was then paint stripped back to bear metal. A coat of primer was sprayed on and then 2 coats of Monza Blue with a red roof, along with a roof number fin. The interior was bared back to the basics for a realistic banger car, complete with silver painted "H" frame roll bar, single race seat with red race harness and steering wheel. The interior, except the roll bar, was painted blue to match the exterior. I also added front and rear bump panels that are painted black at the front and blue on the rear one. The original wheels were left on and painted gold. The shell was then re-fitted to the chassis and was given a full set of Banger Racing Details, all hand painted to represent a realistic racer including sponsors, number "74" and driver's name. This model is designed to be representative and any resemblance is pure coincidence.
