Offered for sale is a new, mint in the box model of the famous Supermarine Spitfire. Part of the Corgi Aviation Archive, this unique model portrays the metallic blue scheme used by Spitfire P9931/B of No.212 squadron in its photo-reconnaissance role in France during the spring of 1940. This beautiful model feature all the historically accurate markings, a spinning propeller, rotating tires and a detailed pilot. The plane also includes optional parts to display the landing gear in the "retracted" in-flight position and includes a display stand. From my private collection, this model has never been displayed and has been stored in an air tight plastic container in a smoke-free environment. The box is in good condition with very minor wear. This plane includes a Corgi certificate to certify that it is no. 1862 of a Limited Edition of only 1910. This unique Spitfire will make a great addition to any WWII diecast airplane collection.
