Corgi DH Mosquito FB VI The model is a diecast 1:72 scale model of a mozzie of 464 sqdn RAAF, No.140 wing 2 Group 2nd Tactical Air Force Involved in the Amien Prison Raid of 18th of February 1944 flown by Flt. Lt's Tom Mcphee and Geoffrey Atkins, this aircraft was one of five that destroyed the walls of the main building and destroyed the guards quarters allowing 255 prisoners half of whom were awaiting execution to escape. The Aircraft was lost near Merville on 18/01/1945. Model is in good condition (just needs a wipe over) with COA and all parts including a fuel bowser (see pictures) This is a limited edition No 4699 of 5900 worldwide. This model is AA32802 And was given to my dad by the RAF Benevolent fund enterprises as a replacement for the sold out "Grim Reaper" model. And was as it states on the cover letter a new model that will be released in the 2002 spring catalogue. So with regards to its rareity I believe it was sold to my dad before the model went on mainstream release. I will include that official covering letter read more
