Description: I am pleased to offer this splendid Corgi limited edition of the fairground ride "South Down Gallopers." It would make a great addition to any collection of fairground models, perhaps a toy museum, or as part of a railway layout. This unique 14 section 3-abreast ride was built from various sources by the Harris Brothers grandfather and family after the First World War. The inside ride of horses are believed to be from Lines Brothers (who eventually became Triang Toys) and the outside and centre rows from Smiths of London. The two dragon chariots were carved by church craftsmen from Guildford, Surrey. The model organ is a 65 key Gavioli re-built by Chiappa of London in 1927.The model comes with installed motor, battery driven, and the lights below the tent like roof are lit by two AA batteries. ***** UK BUYERS ONLY ***** Condition: The model comes in its original packaging and is in mint condition.
