This is a stunning three-dimensional large rose pin signed: "Coro Craft Sterling" with original rose earrings, marked: "STERLING". The earrings are the exact same roses as the pin, just in smaller proportions. All three pieces are beautifully sculpted sterling silver, gold-plated with rose color gold, the leaves are enameled in green and the petals are accented with clear rhinestones. This set was designed in 1940 by Adolph Katz. Overall this set is in very good original condition, with some chipped enamel (mostly on the earrings) and a few tiny rhinestone being either dark or missing. ***Please examine our photos very closely to make your own determinations on condition.*** History: CORO/COROCRAFT/FRANCOIS/VENDOME: 1901- Present (Still Operates in Canada)Emanuel Cohn and Gerard Rosenberg opened a small shop in New York selling jewelry and personal accessories, later becoming known as "Coro". The name Coro incorporates the first two letters of each partner's name. Mark, in the beginning: "CR". By the mid 1920's, the Coro company was the largest manufacturer of costume jewelry and had a work force of over 2,000. The company produced a broad range of designs and an immense volume of jewelry at all price levels.
