Cosmonauts. A Russian hard-cover book,published in 1982, about the Soviet space program signed on the title page, under an inscription by another, by five cosmonauts. Signers are: Georgy Beregovoy (1921-1995) Beregovoy commanded the space mission Soyuz 3 in 1968 , Anatoly Filipchenko (1928- ) Filipchenko flew on the Soyuz 7 and Soyuz 16 missions , Andriyan Nikolayev (1929-2005) Nikolayev flew on two space flights: Vostok 3 (effectively becoming the third Soviet cosmonaut) and Soyuz 9, Alexei Leonov (1934- ) Leonov became the first human to conduct an extra-vehicular activity (EVA), also known as a space walk and Pavel Popovich (1930-2009) Popovich was the 4th cosmonaut in space, the 6th person in orbit, and the 8th person in space.
