Councill Craftsman Executive Desk
Has seven drawers: four box drawers with adjustable dividers, two letter/legal file drawers, center drawer with pencil tray. Two pull out writing slides and solid brass hardware. Desk measures 36" deep x 30.5" high x 59" wide, desk is substantial in weight. The top of the desk measures 60" x 32". Desk is in overall very good condition with some light wear due to age (about 15 years old), and appears to be walnut (but we are not wood experts). we have tried to capture the wear in the pictures, so look closely. Very good overall condition - solid, square, clean. One side of the desk has sun damage at the center of the wood-panel's surface finish - the stain and seal-coat have bubbled from the heat, at some points down to the bare wood. This area will need to be refinished (as is visible in the pictures). The top of the desk is in great condition, as it has been protected by a glass top which is also included in the auction. No key is available for the lock, which is easily replaceable. Very nice inlay marquetry pattern on desktop.
