A set of 10 shallow round serving bowls by Couroc of Monterey, California. Satin black plastic with underwater seascape decoration articulated with "genuine" inlaid abalone,coral and seaweed "having been collected by skin divers among the rugged rocks along the Monterey Coast", as stated on the Couroc label. Each bowl has similar, but unique decoration. Date unknown, but probably c.1950s-1960s. Signature: (Couroc labels as shown, one in black/gold, the other nine are black/white) Dimensions: 7 3/4" dia x 1 3/16" deep Condition : Very Good... with a few scratches and some scuffs and streaks on the black interior surfaces, probably more from being stacked and handled than from use.
