This auction is for an authentic antique working float in the rare bullet shape, it is called a bullet roller, similar to the equally rare bullet sausage, the bullet roller flows from the seal button end to a gradual tapered point, the length measurement appears just at 7". The roundest, largest area in mid center is only about 2.29" in diameter. This roller has the original ocean wonders embedded into it, t is no doubt this is authentic, it has never been cleaned! This is truly a jewel of the sea, one of a kind, unable to be duplicated! T are 8 very small black spots on the float as seen in the picture. I have no ideas of what it could be, but they are completely smooth, making no distinction to the surface of the float, being one of the same. The roller is heavily frosted and has mineralization build up including the now white sea water line made over the years, t is even alittle green detected along this line, probably from the float nesting in seaweed or kelp. I have taken 2 close up pictures of the seal button so you can see the chips around it on both sides. The float itself is a rather grayish color except at the seal button w the glass is the thickest, it is a shade of green. T is a very tiny tiny dimple in the pointed area of the float, I showed this magnified in the point end photo, it is a speck, a tiny bite in the surface. T are seed bubbles, but not alot. T is one I believe bubble burst on the inside, the outside feels normal smooth in this area, t is a picture for you to refer to. This glass float would be ultimate for anyone wanting in their possession one of the very few coveted highly collectable authentic antique glass floats mostly only seen in published books on collecting antique floats! Opportunity knocks. This is from a private personnal collection that has been in storage. It was collected several years ago, over several years. The beachcomber originally was from SE Asia and had lived in Hawaii for several years, but I am not able to ascertain which beach this was picked up from. Collectors can probably tell the country of origin by color, styles, netting etc. I am not a collector and have only general knowledge, so will try to provide a good description and good pictures. This collection was a hobby and love of the ocean with the wonders of the sea, that is what is being passed on in this auction, the survival of this glass float in the mighty sea before it finally washed ashore and the treasure was found! I am listing other sizes, shapes, and colors from the same personnal collection. These are great nautical items. My items are either antique, vintage, unique, rare, or collectable, but rarely new. Because of this they are sold as is. I make a great effort in describing items and providing pictures. It is your responsibility to contact me for further information or more pictures. Finding the treasure you are looking for brings me great joy, this is my hobby. Email me with questions or more pictures if needed, my response may take up to 2 days. Any material/ handling costs if any have already been added into the shipping cost. I give feedback after you have satisfactorily received your item. This will come to you priority. Thank you for your interest and good luck!!
