Up for bids is a Covington Horizontal Lapidary Unit model 690. This will accept 8" or 10" wheels. This is a complete machine designed to saw, grind, sand, and polish gemstone material. I purchased it new and may have 12 hours play time on it. Its 10 years old now but still in very good condition except for a few small paint chips under the green water holder. T is some rust on the vise shaft (pole sticking straight up) and just above the wing nut that is holding the grinding wheel. I took a picture of it turned on and my sony digital camera would not show the blur from it spinning. The unit is made with heavy cast aluminum chassis with a green hammertone finish. The arbor has a 5/8" - 18 R.H. thread shaft with precision ball bearings, neoprene sealed for life. Heavy duty 1/3 HP, 110V, 60 Hz motor. This item will come with the 8" Covington grinding wheel shown, 4 assorted 8" wheels for holding various sanding or polishing disks, one used super charged 8" diamond blade, an almost full small bottle of Covington KOOLERANT, the instructions , the warranty paper, the brush that still looks new , the weight feed cord with scales, three 100 grit sandpaper, four 220 grit sandpaper ,four possibly 400 grit sandpaper ? , four 600 gritt sandpaper sheets that stick onto the interchangeable wheels, and two unopened final polish pads. I think that about covers all the goodies. I will pack very well, and ship with insurance. This item is pretty heavy so it will probably go UPS, I'll research for the best way to go with insurance. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Happy Bidding!
