A real nice original Cox Thimbledrome Champion gas powered tether car. The car is in its as found original shape and retains all of the original parts. The engine has nice compression and turns freely when you spin the rear wheels. The fuel mixture knob also turns freely. The right rear tire does show wear from to many burnouts. The rest of the tires are real nice. It makes me think that this car was started and ran but never was set free on a tether. It still has the snaps on the seat upholstery which leads me to think it was never upside down. The strangest thing on this car is the original white paint. For some reason the paint is randomly missing where the all four wheels meet the body. The left front is the worst and the right front has the least white paint gone. The white is discolored along the bottom where it meets the blue belly pan. That is odd to me because the blue on the bottom is almost all intact. The decals are all present. The belts have a few spots missing and the numbers are yellowed from age. There is some black paint missing on the seat but not to bad. This cars displays nicely as an all original piece or would be a super easy restortion project. Please study the photos and feel free to ask any questions, Shipping will be $12 for priority mail.
