Craftsman Adjustable Throat Block Plane

This is a good used 6" adjustable throat low angle block plane, marked "CRAFTSMAN" on the blade, and "MADE IN U.S.A." on the bed. The cutter is 1 9/16" wide, about 95% intact, sharp and ready to use. The original Japanning is about 85% intact, mostly wear around the cutter mouth area. The bare metal surfaces are rust free, some minor scratches and tiny dings. The adjustable throat feature works good as does the cap cover. The cap cover is nice in appearence with about 80% of the original nickel plating intact. This plane also features a lateral adjustment lever on the back side of the bed, in good working order as well. I believe this plane was made by Sargent for Sears. A nicely made, quality plane overall!
