This is a very nice little oil lamp dateing to the 1870 and used as a bedroom lamp according to Catherine Thruo in one of her books on Kerosene Lighting in America. The collar on this book has been reset. The lamp is 8-1/2" tall to the collar and the pear shaped font is 3" in diameter at the widest point. It has a brass stem and a marble base. The font is ruby flashed and also has an optic rib pattern on the inside. There are no chips, flakes or cracks.
