Antique Opalescent Cranberry Nailsea Art Glass Shade

Description :

Blown from the late 1800's is a unique translucent and satin finish cranberry and opalescent art glass light shade. Exterior and interior show the Nailsea or Drapery pattern. The interior side is a satin finish only. Exterior is shiny with no satin finish. Rim is flat and not crimped with a ruffle rim. Was used most likely for a oil or gas lamp at one time and is now a replacement shade that could be used for an electrical lamp as well. Not sure who made this, as so many contributed to this type of pattern such as Boston and Sandwich Co., and Steven and Williams.

Measurements and Condition :

4" tall with a 4-1/4" fitter and the rim is 7" diameters. The bottom of fitter has some common roughness with a few fleabite chips which does not show if held in place which is expected due to age and use. Overall, very near to being considered as mint condition with no chips on the rim, no hairlines breaks, no scratches or cloudiness. One of a kind art glass shade!
