I bought this banjo on the understanding that it is a Crawford built in Ireland, there is no serial number or marking of any description on it the only thing I base this on is its distinctive styling and i dont believe anyone would do a copy of one of these rather than a Gibson or a Stelling or such like. Anyhow its a jolly nice 5 string with tunneled 5th string going to fine quality guitar type tuners. Seems to be walnut neck and resonator not red enough for mahogany but i may be wrong. the resonator seems to have had a few knocks as the wood is marked and dinged in places (see pix) nothing to make it sound bad and not at all noticeable when you are playing. Plays like any high quality 5 string with a clear crisp tone 5star head set to 90 on drumdial . will sell to U.K only. thanks for looking
