Title: Chap-Book Chaplets Author: Joseph Crawhall Publishers: The book was issued in a very small edition ("as the plates are all hand-coloured, the issue is necessarily limited - Joseph Crawhall"). Copies were distributed via four companies: Field and Tuer, Simpkin Marshall and Co, and Hamilton Adams and Co, all of London, and Scribner and Welford, of New York. Edition: First edition, first printing Date Printed: 1883 Description: Original half-cloth paper-covered boards pictorial hardback. Printed on very high quality paper. All edges untrimmed. Illustrated prospectus for Crawhall's "Old Ffrendes" at rear. Wear to covers, tears and small loss to spine ends (see picture). Browning and wear to boards. Internally clean and free of inscriptions. All hand-coloured plates present and correct. A nice example of this beautifully produced and rare book. NB This is the rare original 1883 first edition.
