Here we have a quite superb hallmarked silver butter knife/spreader of very good gauge and weight. Hallmarks are somewhat rubbed though legible. A very special and eye catching piece indeed. Fully marked for London,1826 by spoon maker Charles Eley.Year letter l. This lovely butter knife is in the Queens pattern and is double struck. This is a lovely antique piece and a must have. A really delightful and scarce object. The length is of very good size at 7.125 inches. This lovely item is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of antique early 19th century George IV table silver. The weight is a very good 71 grams (2.28 troy ounces),this piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout.All this cracking knife needs is to be used!The condition of it is excellent. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver,please do have a look-including more teasets,canteens and good individual pots. It is engraved with a crest-it has worn a little over time-and always has been. A truly beautiful and most wonderful lot. Would be ideal for the collectors to enhance their collection.
