WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE SILVER MUSTARD POT. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY and in tip top order. A very special pot and would doubtless make a lovely present! Of simple yet pleasing form with a pretty scrolled thumbpiece to lid. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely silver mustard pot of a very large size.Hallmarks are deep and clear.Fully marked to both lid and side of body. Assayed in London,1924-year letter i-and it has a maker's mark for Lionel Alfred Crichton (Crichton Brothers).They were very good makers and made many good items during this period.It comes with a mustard spoon which is dated Birmingham,1932 and by AP&Co and this compliments it very well indeed. This is a lovely mid George V lot and a must have. A really delightful large pot and of the highest possible quality too. For reference of scale the size of the mustard pot is 2.75 inches in height and 3.5 inches in diameter. Made of very thick gauge silver,this lovely pot has an actual silver weight of a very good 119 grams and the spoon is 7 grams (total of 126 grams or 4.05 troy ounces).This weight does not include that of the flawless blue glass liner for the mustard. This lovely item is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of dining table silver. The condition is very good. It is unengraved and always has been,definitely no erasures either. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver,please do have a look-including sets of very good flatware. I have also listed good items of Concorde memorabilia including a money clip,bookmark and photograph frame.All are as new and boxed too. A truly beautiful and most wonderful lot. Would be ideal as a birthday or special gift. PERFECT FOR USE ALL YEAR ROUND!
