You are bidding on the autograph of J. Edgar Hoover, crime-busting director the FBI. Don't let the Clint Eastwood movie fool you; J. Edgar DID single-handedly eliminate the criminal threat to American society. This autograph is from the collection of Irwin Levine of NYC who began collecting in the 1930's. He built the collection through writing to various personages in all fields and simply requesting their autograph (in his later years, his daughter helped him obtain some of these). He would then paste them in his scrapbook. Consequently, these autographs and photos have some paper residue on their reverse side. I have removed them and where able, have removed much of the residue. Please see my other auction for some more of Irwin's autographs. The successful buyer will pay $2.99 for shipping. I will combine shipping on any successful bids.
