Rare Crimson Dip Jasperware Stilton Cheese Dome Bell. Wedgwood ? Dudson. Description Rare Crimson Dipped Jasperware Cheese Dome Up for auction is this stunning Stilton cheese dome in the highly collectable crimson colour. The cover classically decorated with raised angelic figures playing instruments with acorn finial, the dish decorated with a circling branch of oak leaves and acorns. There is no factory mark but believe to be Dudson or Wedgwood. (I am no expert on Jasperware so if anyone wants to enlighten me?) I cannot see any damage to the cover but the base has an area that looks like a split (please see pics). This split does not carry on through the body to the base so could have been a firing problem. The base measures 27cm diameter and the whole is 21cm in height. This is a very heavy piece, weighs over 5KG when packed so if you want to bid from outside mainland UK please be aware it will be very expensive to ship and I can only insure against loss NOT damage. Custom charges etc will be your responsibility. Mainland Uk will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery at a cost of approx �20. This is the only service I know that will insure fragile items against damage. If paying by personal cheque goods will be dispatched when funds have cleared. Collection in person welcome.
