# STAR BUY # VERY RARE Crimson, Large Wedgwood Jasperware Trumpet Vase We have always tried our best to bring our Global Wedgwood Jasperware collectors the best and the rarest of pieces ....... and we have done it again with this spectacular and very rare crimson trumpet vase.Measuring approximately 18cm in height and with a rim diameter of 13.5cm this is quite a substantial piece of this very desirable colourway. The vase is quite extensively decorated with white bas-relief images, the main being of two neo-classical females with their hands on a large handled Grecian urn. This image appears three times around the body of the vase. There is further intricate cameo work around the waist of the piece as well as he footing. In addition to this there are varying sized flowerheads dotted around the vase and a single banding to the vase rim.The piece is impress marked to the base (2002), as per the additional image.The vase is in mint condition.Made exclusively for the Japanese market, in and around 2002, this is strangely among the rarest of all the Jasperwares and I have been very fortunate indeed to have sourced such a large and beautifully conditioned piece for you. Crimson dip was first used by Wedgwood back in the 1920's so there was quite a break before they decided to re-introduce it into the marketplace. I have seen very few read more
