This is a super 14K gold Pocket Watch with a Minute Repeater function.The watch is Swiss and was made circa 1910The watch has been cleaned and serviced and the watch works well. However we will not accept returns on this watch due to bad handling by a novice. If you have never had a repeater pocket watch before, tell us and we will include a DVD on winding and setting. This is working correctly and all is 100% OK but we will not accept returns or refunds on this watchThe minute repeater function is activated by a slide on the side of the case.The watch chimes the hours, quarters and minutes by two internal hammers striking against gongs inside the case.For 1.17. The watch would strike 1 ding, then a ding-ding, then ding, ding. Denoting 1 hour, 1 quarter and then two minutes past the quarter. 5.52, would be ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding-ding, ding-ding, ding-ding, then ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.The repeater works perfectly and has a clear bright chime. This watch has been cleaned & serviced and works well keeping excellent time.Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and a slide activated minute repeater function as described above. The movement has large gold jewel settings on the centre ad also on the repeater spring, plus the hammers are also jeweled. The movement is in 85% mint condition – under a glass you can see many little marks and scratchesCase – the movement comes in a 14K gold open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The inner cover is gold and is signed “F Winter”The back of the case is decorated with engine turning and has a circle on the back engraved with entwined initials.The case has large shoulders and tight hinges and coversThe rest of the case has a smooth plain finish. The case in 90% mint condition – some very small marks on the edge of the case and also inside the case, on the inner, there are two sharp dings. The rest of the case is in crisp condition.Dial – the white enamel dial is signed “F Winter” and has gilt hour and minute hands and a blue steel seconds hand. The dial is in 99% mint condition – very cleanThe watch has a mineral glassThe watch measures 50mm wide x 11mm deepThe watch is stem wound / stem setCheck out my other items !
